Provided architectural design services for the conceptual design and Planned Unit Development
Application for a mixed use development. The site is located adjacent to the Brookland / Catholic
University Metro Station and is part of a five block mixed use redevelopment of the Catholic
University South Campus. The central feature of the Arts Walk is a new pedestrian street that is an
extension of 8th Street NE between Monroe Street and the Michigan Avenue viaduct. Ground level
artist studios and retail space open on to the new pedestrian street, and a new public piazza is
situated at the north end of the Arts Walk. Program consists of below grade parking, ground level
retail, artist’s studios, and upper level rental housing.
